ETL certification is the abbreviation for Electrical Testing Laboratories in the United States. Like UL and CSA, ETL can test and issue ETL certification marks in accordance with UL standards or American national standards, and can also issue composite certification marks in accordance with UL standards or American national standards and CSA standards or Canadian standards at the same time.

As long as any electrical, mechanical or electromechanical product carries the ETL mark, it indicates that the product has reached the minimum requirements of the generally recognized product safety standards of the United States and Canada. It also means that the production plant agrees to receive strict periodic inspections to ensure the consistency of product quality, which can be sold to the US and Canadian markets.
